About Jim and Sharon Smith...

Jim and Sharon have been in business together for over 40 years raising  horses and for the last 14 years they have specialized in the raising of percherons.  They derive more pleasure and satisfaction from draft than light horses. 

The Smiths have traveled from Minnesota to Mexico and from Pennsyvania to California buying horses and making friends.   Particularly enjoyable for Jim and Sharon is the foaling season -- going in the middle of the night with a flashlight to find a pretty new face to greet them. 

"At Chambers Creek Farm, we limit ourselves to the number of horses  that we and our daughter,  Holly, can properly fit and show," says Sharon.  The Smiths show halter, driving and riding horses primarily in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas but sometimes venture off to world shows.

Visitors are always welcome at the Smith's farm.  They're located just off I-35W at Grandview, Texas - 30 to 40 miles south of the D/FW Metroplex.
