Lake Whitney State Park
We are Located on FM Road 1244 in Whitney
From Ft. Worth/Dallas Area:
Take Interstate 35 South towards Waco, Approximately 60 miles until you come to the
outskirts of the city of Hillsboro. You will see Exit #370 (turn right). This will
take you to downtown Hillsboro, go to the second red light by the courthouse, Highway
22 West (turn right). You will go Approximately 12-15 miles until you come to the city
of Whitney. When you come into Whitney the road will "Y", stay to the left
(you're still on Hwy. 22 West), until you come to a red light, (turn right),
(Western Auto will be on your right), and go approximately 1/2 mile, there will be a
nursing home on the left called Park Plaza, this is FM 1244 (turn left), and this
Dead-Ends into the Park.
From Austin Area:
Take Interstate 35 North to Waco, Exit right on Lake Shore Drive (turn left on
Lake Shore Drive), you will come to a red light, go straight, you will cross railroad
tracks and come to another red light, turn right onto FM 933 North. Go
approximately 35 miles to the city of Whitney, you will come to a red light, go through
that light and approximately 1/2 mile down you will see a nursing home on the left called
Park Plaza, turn left, this is FM 1244 and this dead-ends into the Park.
