Group Facilities

We have three group facilities open for use, the Recreation Hall, the Group Shelter Area, and the Youth Group Area (primitive).

 

The Recreation Hall will accommodate up to 72 people for day use with a maximum overnight occupancy up to 30 people. There are men’s & women’s restrooms, but no showers. Hot showers are available in other areas of the park. Beds or bedding are not furnished. You may bring your own sleeping bags, cots, etc. There are folding tables and chairs, a full commercial kitchen consisting of a refrigerator (no freezer), gas stove and oven, microwave and a large sink. No kitchen utensils are furnished. The Recreation Hall has central heat and air condition. The building rents for $100.00 per day. You may stay overnight if the building is rented two days back to back.

 

The Group Shelter Area has a dining hall and 8 screened shelters and can accommodate up to 64 people. Beds or bedding are not furnished. You may bring your own sleeping bags, cots, etc. The dining hall has a full kitchen consisting of an electric stove & oven, refrigerator/freezer and microwave. It has ceiling fans and a screened-in window (no air conditioning). Each screened shelter has a picnic table, light fixture, and electrical outlet. An additional electrical outlet, your water faucet and stand-up grill are outside each shelter. The Group Shelter Area rents for $200.00 per night (no day use on this facility).

 

The Youth Group Area is a primitive area for youth groups. (Primitive meaning no water, electric, etc.) This area consists of 3 picnic tables and a large fire ring, The charge is flat rate of $18.00 per day and will accommodate a maximum of 40 people. A short hike is required to get to the area.


Entrance Fees of $2.00 per Person, per Day, Will be in Addition to Facility fees.
(Children under 13 are free, People 65 or older are 1/2 price, and People born before September 1, 1930 are free)


We do recommend that you make reservations for these facilities well in advance (a couple of months at least), especially for weekends and major holidays. We cannot guarantee you a spot without a reservation. Please call Texas Parks & Wildlife Central Reservations (CRC) in Austin at 512/389-8900 M-F from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
