		HANGERS


	Hanger Bearings provide intermediate radial support between separate screw sections. Since hanger bearings are designed primarily for radial loads, 1/8” clearance should be allowed between the bearing and the conveyor pipe ends to prevent damage from thrust loads transmitted by the conveyor pipe. All Newton hangers are manufactured to exacting tolerances from the highest quality raw materials.


	Style 216 Hanger



	Available in Style 316


	Style 216 hangers are recommended for heavy duty, abrasive applications, especially where dust-tight operation is required. Style 216 hangers may be furnished with hard iron, harden surfaced or oil impregnated wood bearings. When hard iron or hard surfaced bearings are used, hardened or hard surfaced shafts are required. This hanger is mounted inside flush with the top flanges.


	Style 220 Hanger


	Style 220 hangers are recommended for high capacity conveyors where dust tight operation is not required. Slender frame and compact bearing housing allow higher percentage of conveyor loading with minimum flow obstruction. Available in all friction type bearing materials.


	Style 226 Hanger


	Style 226 incorporates all the advantages of Style 220. It is designed for inside flush mounting to allow dust tight operation. Available in all friction type bearing materials.


	Style 230 Hanger


	Style 230 hangers are designed for heavy duty applications where top mounting on the trough flanges is preferred. May be furnished with either hard iron bearing or oil impregnated wood bearing. When a hard iron bearing is used a hardened coupling shaft must be used. Bearing and bearing assembly frame are readily interchangeable with Style 216 top frames.


	Style 326 Hanger


	Style 326 hangers are well suited for high temperature operation and incorporate the basic features of 220 & 226 hangers. The 326 is designed for interior trough mounting with self adjusting assembly to compensate for unequal thermal expansion between components. Available only with hard iron or hard surfaced bearings. Hardened or hard surfaced shafts are required.


	Style 30 Hanger


	Style 30 hangers are designed for minimum obstruction of material flow. Bearing is supported from the non-carrying side of the conveyor housing. For extra support a top bar extends across the trough and bolts on both sides. Mounts flush with trough flanges. Available in all friction type bearing materials


	Ball bearing type hangers available upon request.


	Flared hangers are available in all the above styles except Style 30.
