I know your works.  Look, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.  I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.    Rev. 3:8 NRSV

Conference Gathering

The 2011 Conference Gathering of the Central Texas Conference Walk to Emmaus will be Saturday, October 1, 2011.  The event will be held in the geographic center of the Conference at Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center in Glen Rose.  Registration will open at 8:00 am, music will start at 8:30, and the opening session will begin at 9:00 am.  There will be several breakout sessions during the day, lunch is included in the registration fee of $10.00, and the Closing Worship Service will start at 5:00 pm.  The event will finish in time to get supper somewhere and still get home to the most distant place in the Conference at a reasonable bedtime.  Additional information can be found on the Emmaus website – www.ctcemmaus.org – on the Conference Gathering page.  Details will be posted there as they develop.

Information for inclusion in the newsletter should be submitted to the editor by telephone, email or mail no later than the last Friday of the month.

Since all the children in our Emmaus 4th Day Group are older now, we have decided to invite them to stay with us during our business meeting and then to go into Worship with us.  Childcare will no longer be available at our Gatherings.

If we start having children 4 years of age and under attend, we will then make childcare available again.
