REUNION GROUPS

Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and do good.  Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing.  Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming near.  ~Hebrews 10:24-25

Since Reunion Groups are the heart of the Fourth Day experience, we will list the day and time of every local Reunion Group that we know about.  If yours is not listed, please let us know.  If your time or place changes or if a Group is disbanded, we need to know that as well.

If you are not participating in a Reunion Group, you may use this list as a "Shopping list".  We encourage everyone to get together with others for a time of sharing, accountability and prayer.

FROM THE CTC EMMAUS BOARD

IMPORTANT MESSAGE - WALK FEE INCREASE

Beginning with Walk 325, the Walk fee will be $175.  A new Pilgrim Application form is available on the website- www.ctcemmaus.org.  This new application should be used for Walk 325 and all later Walks.  After April 1, all old forms should be destroyed and only the new form should be used for Pilgrim applications.  The new form can  be easily identified because it has the CTC logo (state outline with cross and rainbow)  in the upper left corner.

This Walk fee increase applies to team members the same as for Pilgrims.  Team members on Walks 325 and later will pay $175.

Please be sure this information is shared throughout your Fourth Day Groups so that people who submit applications for these Walks and those asked to serve on a team are informed of the increase.

Grace and peace,
Rich Thompson

Team Selection Information

I periodically receive team applications from people wanting to be considered for the team on a Walk that is occurring in just a few weeks from the date they submit the application.  By this time, the team has been selected and has already started having meetings.  The following information is provided to help everyone understand the process used to select teams in the Central Texas Conference.

Potential team members are selected by a Team Selection Committee in each Region.  Team selection normally occurs about six months before each Walk.  The Team Selection Committee uses a report from the Team Database as the source of names for the team list.  The list is provided to the Lay Director who contacts individuals and asks them to be on the team.  Individuals asked to serve on a team should: be active in his/her local church; be active in a reunion group (or other small faith-sharing or accountability group); be active in Fourth Day Community activities; and should not have served on a team selected by a Lay Director (Conference Room or On-Site Servant Team) (Fourth Day Community Servant Team participants are not considered to have served on a team for the purposes of this section) within the same calendar year (with some exceptions as needed for musicians, those working into leadership positions, or as directed by the Board).  Persons from outside the Central Texas Conference should not be considered for service on CTC teams.  Church and ethnic diversity should be intentionally considered in developing the assignments for the Conference Room and the Servant Team.  There should be no more team members from one church than there are tables at the Walk.  No table should have more than one member from the same church.  Emmaus leadership begins and ends with anonymous positions of servanthood.  To be considered for service in the Conference Room a potential team member should have served on at least one On-Site Servant Team or one Fourth Day Community Servant Team.

If you have questions about team selection you can contact the Board members from your Region.

Grace and peace,
Rich

AGAPE

With the reduction in the number of Pilgrims assigned to a Walk from 42 to 36, the number of agape items to be supplied has changed.  If the agape is for the Conference Room group only, the number is 62 items.  If the Servant Team is to be included, the total number increases to 79 items.

Grace and peace,

Rich

WEBSITE

I have had several inquiries lately about where to find the schedule or where to get applications.  Please inform everyone with whom you have contact about the website location- www.ctcemmaus.org - and what is there.  It is much faster to download the information and saves us postage and administrator work time if people use the website.
